Dental Health Check Ups

Dental check-ups will dramatically decrease the potential for all oral health problems becoming serious.

We recommend you see the dentist on a regular basis; they will advise how often you need to be seen.

Dental Check-ups are also cost effective compared to paying for expensive major dental works such as tooth replacements, crowns and gum repair.

General Dentistry

We offer important routine treatments including white or silver fillings, bridges and dentures. In addition to these treatments we also offer periodontal treatment and root canal treatment.

We can explain the options and what is best for you as an individual.

We will explain clearly what is available privately and under the NHS.

Dental Implants

Dental implants consist of two parts:

  • The implant itself is a titanium post which once inserted will bond with the surrounding bone, anchoring it in position

  • A tooth replacement attached to the top of the post, they act as permanent teeth, and do not need to be removed once they have been fitted.

Currently we refer patients to a specialist practice to fit the implant and then patients return to us to have the tooth replacement attached. Ask your dentist if you have any questions.

Teeth Whitening

There are many reasons that can make your teeth yellow and discoloured. The good news is, you don’t need to hide your teeth anymore!

Teeth whitening is a simple, safe and effective non-invasive treatment that can help make your teeth whiter and create a great smile.

Tooth whitening is carried out for suitable patients - wearing custom-made, thin, gum shield-like trays containing bleaching gels. These trays are worn over a 2 or 3 week period.

Professional teeth whitening has been extensively tested and proven to have no long term negative effects on the teeth or the gums.

Facial Aesthetics

Our dentist Emma Mossop now offers anti wrinkle treatments in the practice.

The treatment works by gently relaxing the wrinkles that form in the skin as a result of repeated movements of the facial muscles. This treatment can offer natural results and soft, youthful appearance without affecting your natural expressions.

Areas we can treat in practice are:

  • Forehead creases – the horizontal lines across the forehead which are formed by rising your eyebrows
  • Glabella lines – the vertical lines formed between the eyebrows often due to squinting, concentration or frowning
  • Crow’s feet – the fine lines or wrinkles on the outside of the eyes which are usually more obvious when smiling, laughing or squinting

Costs:

Consultation £50, this will be deducted if you go ahead with treatment.

  • 1 area   £180
  • 2 areas £225
  • 3 areas £260
